Before Your Appointment
The Day Before
- Get a good night's sleep — being well-rested helps your body handle the session
- Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water
- Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for at least 24 hours
- Moisturize the area to be tattooed (but not the day of)
Day Of Your Appointment

- Shower and clean the area to be tattooed
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area
- Bring snacks and water for longer sessions
- Bring headphones or entertainment if desired
- Arrive on time — late arrivals may need to reschedule
What to Avoid

- Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo
- Wear loose, breathable clothing over the area
Healing Timeline
- Days 1-3: Redness, swelling, and oozing are normal
- Days 4-7: Peeling and flaking begins — don't pick!
- Weeks 2-3: Itching is normal as skin heals
- Weeks 4-6: Surface healing complete, deeper layers still healing
- 3+ Months: Fully healed — now protect it from sun damage

Contact your artist or a doctor if you experience:
- Excessive redness spreading beyond the tattoo
